Latinos for Tennessee Hosts Faith Conference Featuring Remarks from Former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and Reverend Rafael Cruz

Murfreesboro, Tennessee – Over a hundred attendees, including Pastors and Church leaders, from across Tennessee gathered in Murfreesboro, TN to participate in Latinos for Tennessee’s first ever Faith Conference.

The speakers that addressed the crowd included nationally recognized orator Reverend Rafael Cruz and Alberto Gonzalez – former United States Attorney General under President George W. Bush.

David Fowler, former State Senator and current President of the Family Action Council of Tennessee, as well as Lindsay Boyd, Policy Director for The Beacon Center of Tennessee, participated in the event.

The speakers covered a broad range of topics including the need to protect and defend our religious freedoms and why a fiscally responsible policy agenda is best to care for the least of these in our society.

“Today’s conference was a resounding success. People of faith from all over our state were here because they are hungry to learn from an impressive group of speakers on how we can influence the public policy process in our state and in our country. We stand committed to work with anybody, regardless of political party, that is committed to affirming life and liberty,” said Raul Lopez, Executive Director for Latinos for Tennessee.

Latinos for Tennessee is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to taking the message of faith, family, freedom and fiscal responsibility to Latinos in Tennessee.
